So things are progressing in the belly department. Quickly. She's all over the place! I actually let Mom feel her kicking last night. I have this thing about people touching my pregnant belly. I don't know what the deal is, just don't like it. I got another update from Pregnancy Weekly about how big she is and stuff:
"Your baby is now about 2 lbs. 5 oz. and is a little under 14 inches from head to toe and has been gaining weight steadily during the past 27 weeks due to the stem cells developing into bodily organs, blood and immune systems, and bones. From this point forward, your baby's weight gain will be due to increasing amounts of body fat."
She's getting body fat! I think that's great. At my doc's appointment the other day I was visiting with another gal in there who is pregnant with her 2nd. Dr. Flowers delivered her first and will deliver her 2nd. She said she is great and that she put her mind at such ease and was so calm through the entire process. I was so glad! That was comforting. I suspected that she's great, but that helped to seal the deal. The girl also said, more importantly, that the nurses were fabulous. I can't wait to experience that whole thing. For some reason, at THIS point, I am not really nervous or scared. I am just ready to be a real mom.
I get to pick up Zach in 8 days! I can't wait! He is in for a big surprise when he sees how big I am. I told him last night "we'll be there to pick you up." He said, "who's coming with you?" Then I said, "me and Sadee." He just laughed and I could tell he was excited.
While we're on the subject, could all of you who read this please confirm that the spelling of our child's name doesn't confuse? We are both a little concerned people will pronounce it "SADD -- EE" like a sad child or something. I just don't want to stick a Y in there just for pronounciation's sake. Can you just comment over there ---------->
